People's Partner for Community Development is a Native-led non-profit organization serving the communities of the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation in Montana. We help create a stronger reservation economy while maintaining strong connections to our land, our traditional values and our cultural history.
We provide financial opportunities to stimulate economic development by promoting self-sufficiency, self-determination and an enhanced quality of life for the reservation communities.
We offer the tools, resources and training to help individuals, families and entrepreneurs create better lives and a stronger community.

OUR MISSION

What we provide:

We offer Small Business Development Training and Workshops through the year. We also offer Small Business Loans up to $5,000.

YOUTH AG PROGRAM
This program is designed to teach, support and mentor young agricultural enthusiasts on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation.

We offer Credit Builder Loans to clients up to $2,000 who are looking to re-build their damaged credit, or clients that have no credit and want to establish their credit.

We partner with Northern Cheyenne Housing Authority to offer the monthly "Financial Fitness" course.

Montana Indian Equity Fund Small Business Grant Accepting Applications

PURPOSE: The Montana Indian Equity Fund (IEF) Grants of the Indian Country Economic Development (ICED) Program funding are intended to support tribal members in Montana to start or grow their business by deploying funds to support their business strategy. Funds may be used for the purchase of land, building and equipment, assets including furnishings, equipment and technology and selected use of working capital and business operations.
GRANT PERIOD: July 1, 2021 to August 31, 2021
ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS: Tribal enrolled members of Montana tribes are the only eligible applicants for this portion of the Program. All applications must include documentation of tribal enrollment.
GRANT AMOUNT: A maximum of $14,000 per eligible applicant will be available in fiscal year 2022.

Certificate
Miles Community College provides a one-year certificate program to increase the skilled labor force for the meat processing businesses in Montana.
Apply and register for classes now. Courses start January 20 for the Spring 2021 Semester.
